Performed the threshold inspection of the 58,800 square foot 5-story Red Roof Inn at the intersection of James Turner Boulevard and I-95 in Jacksonville, Florida.  The building was constructed using load bearing masonry walls to resist the lateral hurricane forces and is supported on conventional shallow foundations.  The first floor is a concrete slab-on-grade and the elevated floors are un-topped pre-cast concrete hollow core slabs. The roof system is constructed with plywood sheathing supported by prefabricated wood trusses and structural steel framing.
