Structural Engineer Synergy Structural Engineering, Jacksonville, Florida, President— Directly responsible for performance of structural engineering design services for numerous institutional and commercial building projects for architectural clients. Project management duties include marketing engineering services to new and existing clients, negotiating fees, writing service contracts, supervision of technical and administrative personnel, scheduling and staffing projects, preparing cost estimates for structural systems, fee billings, making marketing presentations with clients during the architect selection process. Engineering tasks include selecting structural systems, complete responsibility for design and supervision of design and drafting, review of shop drawings, and construction observation.
Structural Engineers Group, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida, Vice President/Project Manager— Design, inspection and project management of institutional and commercial buildings for architectural clients. Project scopes ranged from $50,000 to $20 million in construction cost and included educational facilities, office buildings, hospitals, churches, single and multi-family housing, banks, theaters, libraries, gymnasiums, hotels, warehouses, parking garages, airport facilities, retail stores, dining halls, and renovations.
Bechtel Group Incorporated, San Francisco, California, Engineering Supervisor & Senior Civil/Structural Engineer— Five years experience in the design and construction of structures and foundations on major industrial projects ranging in scope from the $200 million SOHIO Gas Injection Oil Field Recovery System in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to the $600 million Chevron Lube Oil Refinery Expansion Project in Richmond, California. Originally hired as a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer, received rapid promotions to Senior Civil/Structural Engineer and Engineering Supervisor and was given Bechtel’s Performance Excellence Achievement Award for high productivity of quality work for the performance of engineering and project management duties which included engineering supervision, planning and scheduling, material requisition, preparation of engineering cost change notices and design/construction liaison.
