Structural engineering design of a new 6.0 million gallon per day water treatment facility in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.  The design includes a new 1 million gallon cast-in-place concrete ground storage tank, new wellheads, aluminum ladders, handrails, and walks for the tanks, and a two story, 3,000 square foot maintenance building.  The maintenance facility is constructed with load-bearing masonry walls supporting pre-cast concrete hollow-core planks on the second floor and steel decking and bar joists on the roof.  Also included in the maintenance facility is an overhead gantry crane to facilitate moving the equipment placed in storage.

Rockledge Wastewater Treatment Plant

Structural design of additions and modifications to the treatment plant in Rockledge, Florida to increase the effluent capacity from 2.2 million gallons per day to 4.4 million gallons per day.  The work included design of a forty-one thousand gallon tertiary filter tank to produce an additional 1 million gallons per day and modification of an existing tertiary filter tank by adding new platforms, handrails, and filters.

Structural engineering design of a 1.2 to 2.0 million gallon per day plant expansion in Dixie County, Florida.  The expansion included an elevated concrete support structure for the raw-water flow split aerator, ground level concrete support structures for two reactor clarifiers, site retaining walls, a concrete ground level support structure for a sludge thickener, a 17,000 gallon concrete backwash transfer tank, a 65,000 gallon enclosed concrete filter/clearwell holding tank, aluminum stairwells, handrails, and catwalks for the tanks, and an 800 square foot operations building with a 800 square foot covered area for equipment pumps.  Also included in the scope of the project were two pre-engineered circular concrete storage tanks, one a 500 thousand-gallon ground storage tank and the other a 160 thousand-gallon ground storage tank.

Structural design of the of the 800 square foot operations building with an 800 square foot covered area for equipment pumps, design of the emergency generator equipment pad, and design of the service equipment pads for the City of White Springs, Florida.  The funding of this project was with the State Revolving Loan Fund.  Also included in the scope of the project were two pre-engineered 125,000-gallon circular concrete storage tanks and a 150,000-gallon pre-engineered elevated storage tank.

Design the structural crack repairs to the existing 180-foot diameter concrete settlement basin in Gainesville, Florida.  Included in the scope of services was to design repairs to the existing concrete walkway, design the modifications to the existing sludge pit platform for larger access penetrations, design the platform replacement, and design the replacement of the monorail framing at the backwash water recovery facility.  Prior to finalizing the design, our office determined through a feasibility study the most cost effect approach to replace the platform with either painted carbon steel, stainless steel, or fiberglass structural members.

Provided structural design of the 35,000 gallon cast-in-place concrete equalization basin, the two cast-in-place concrete sludge holding tanks, and the 420 square foot concrete pump station pad with pipe supports for the Tampa Bay Fisheries.

Steinhatchee Water Treatment Plantís Water Relocation

Structural engineering design for a 0.7 million gallon per day plant expansion for the city of Steinhatchee in Taylor County, Florida.  The design included a 0.175 million-gallon circular pre-stressed concrete ground storage tank, 2,300 square foot operations building constructed with load-bearing masonry walls and pre-engineered wooden trusses, service pump foundations, two filter tank foundations, and backwash tank foundations.

Design of the 20,000-gallon cast-in-place concrete irrigation pump tank for the Land Application Site (LAS) Expansion in Alachua County, Florida.  The pumping of effluent wastewater to a sprayfield is the last stage of the wastewater treatment facility and pumps effluent water from the treatment plant to a designated lawn for its introduction back into the ground water.  Included in the design was the elevated cast-in-place concrete equipment support pad and the aluminum stair with handrails for the structure.
